The reality is you have to decide how to decide before you get to the meeting. Otherwise, the meeting becomes around how we want to decide. So all the work in a high-stakes meeting as you know is what happens before the meeting. I like to use topics or techniques like brainstorming in silence especially when you want to get those voices. People who are very reserved and analytical use a process that may be very different than an extrovert's. So as a meeting facilitator or a leader, you've got to make space to let that genius spark through, or you're going to miss it.
