Shahrukh has studied Lean and is a practicing industrial engineer, author, and teacher. In his own words about his book, “WARNING! This book [Job Shop Lean] is written by an Industrial Engineer who never worked at Toyota. But that did not deter me! I figured out that whatever the general public knows about the Toyota Production System aka LEAN is IE [Industrial Engineering] that Toyota used in the 1900s. And IE in the 1900s was not enabled by Operations Research, Data Science and a horde of software tools.”
