🤯 Beginner Agile Project Manager Planning Myths Busted 💥

Agile project manager myths about planning are out there. Don't fall for the marketing. What's up construction project managers? I'm here to settle a myth, a false attitude. Really nothing more than a misperception in the big wide world. A lot of people think of agile project management as something that you do just to get rid of all the good things that we learned in traditional project management. And that's just not the case. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, not right. That's wrong. Agile Project Management requires more planning, not less.

More planning than traditional project management methodologies. If you're using Scrum one week cycle, and count up all the time that you spend planning, working through the Scrum framework, you're going to find that you're somewhere between five hours to eight hours of planning and reflecting. Now those same people are going to remember that before they started using Scrum, they were only getting X done. After they started using Scrum, they and their teams got at least 2X done, more often 4X done every single week. You tell me, in your agile practice, are you planning more or less? And if you're on the traditional project management side, defending the beautiful project management book of knowledge (PMBOK) as you should, check out the newest edition. Agile is in there. Scrum is mentioned. The world is changing. If you found this video useful, go ahead and hit that like and subscribe button. Thank you.
